W00t! I'm the first Mystara vote! And we're tied with Spelljammer!

Hopefully, some other fans will come out of the woodwork and vote, so that we can leave the poll with a modicum of dignity. :p

I voted for Mystara, and now we have twice as many as Spelljammer (2 to 1)! :)

Wow, I've never had such a hard time deciding on a poll answer. I picked Greyhawk. It narrowly won over FR, RL and SJ. I also liked PS, DS and Mystara a lot.

I'm afraid I can't vote, what with your "one vote only" rule. I can't choose between Ravenloft and Al-Qadim. (Dark Sun and Planescape both come in close seconds, but RL and AQ are definitely tied for first.)

Darn, I voted Spelljammer and meant to vote Dark Sun. :heh: Well, Spelljammer was a close second and it's an underdog... let it stand.

Didn't see Blackmoor on the list.

Um... my favorite setting was the "Known World" before 2e morphed it into the abomination that is "Mystara."

Anything for that setting not published for the 1983 Boxed Set rules NEVER EXISTED! Never! LALALALALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU! ;)

Voted for "Mystara" anyway, as it most accurately represented my choice.

Blackmoor is a close second.

Of these campaigns, I'd say Ravenloft. As has been said before, it turned many conventions on their ears and was an interesting take; OTOH, I preferred the concept of Ravenloft as a region to be plopped into a larger campaign, rather than a "Demi-Plane", because the latter caused far too many philosophical problems for my tastes.

But homebrew is still far better for me ;)

My vote:
  • If you're going to do "standard" D&D, Greyhawk is all you need.
Honorable mentions:
  • If you want something a little different, and kinda dark, then Ravenloft.
  • If you want something really offbeat, then go for Darksun.

You forgot Kara-Tur.

I chose not to include Kara-Tur because it was *branded* under the FR banner. Because of this, I considered it an FR *accessory* as opposed to a separate campaign setting. The same goes for Maztica.

Zakara is lucky because it was branded under the Al-Qadim banner. :)
