While ENWorld chokes . . .

Since EN World started to choke, I've added the D20 radio forums to my daily retinue. I also still post at OK--Your Turn (Monte Cook's message boards).

Aside from EN World, I read/skim a lot of forums but really only post much at CM (Coliseum only) and The RPG Haven which tends to have some decent RPG discussions like one on the ENnies voting and such.

Sadly, this is the only one I can get to through the work filters. Well, this and RPGnet, but I've never seen the appeal of that place

Also, wizards.com bores the hell out of me.

So I'm pretty much going where I've been going. I'm used to ENWorld being unacceptably slow, so if it's a little slower, I'll adapt. What I'm not adapting to is how many fewer posts there are nowadays as a result - the speed issues cascade down into every aspect of the site.

Somehow, CM is faster and I still visit regularly at home. I still visit KT a few times a day, too, but it's not really a gaming site. At home, I duck my head into therpgsite a few times a week, too.

Really, though, this is the main one I visit, and I hope the problems get straightened out. The speed makes for less posting, and less posting makes for less interesting reading. And less to reply to, too.

It has taken me over 5 minutes to open this thread, open this reply window and type this short reply. EN World is soooo slow that I cannot justify the time to come here while at work any longer, at least not daily. I check back every so often, but until it gets better, it's Paizo.com message boards (as poorly organized as they are) for me.

*whips out Geek Card*

I use the might of RSS feeds, which tends to have most of the news I find on EN World that interests me, and a bunch of stuff that EN World doesn't report. All of this without the wait!

Geek Card. Don't leave home without it. ;)

I've been on the WotC boards a lot more lately.

ENWorld is simply too slow for it to be feasible to spend a lot of time here anymore. I can go through all of the other interesting links I have set in my browser in the time it takes me to get from the front page to the General RPG Discussion forum.
