Whip that horse...

How far can you get on a Phantom Steed?
Since it is not a "real" creature and lasts for 1 hour/ caster level, can you effectively hustle or run the creature for the entire duration of the spell?
A movement of 160' (8th level caster) could cover 128 miles in 8 hours (PHB pg 162). But, since it is not a real creature, and therefore subject to exhaustion or fatigue, you should be able to "hustle" if not run the whole duration. (For the record, I own horses and am familiar with the effects of long distance riding, so don't bother going there...).
So, in effect, a rider of a phantom steed could cover 128 (standard 8 hour journey), 256 (hustle) miles.

From the rules:
"A creature with no Constitution cannot tire and thus can run indefinitely without tiring (unless the creature’s description says it cannot run)."
