Whirlwind Attack and Great Cleave

By RAW, you can't combine Great Cleave with Whirlwind Attack.

The ToEE computer game from 2003 doesn't make this distinction, though - once you get Fragarach, WA & GC, you can go blender on those stoopid Bugbears. :p

If you're a barbarian or somesuch with a single, nasty attack, then WWA is good for wading into a roiling throng of enemy mooks and wading back out in a frothy sea of blood.

Best... Quote... Ever.

One thing though, A barbarian with a 13 INT? Not all that common. I guess you could get lucky and have your 2nd lowest roll be a 13 (of course you put the lowest in CHA).

Well, the game was being developed as 3rd ed, and they were given a month to change it to 3.5. There's lots of 3.0 rules artifacts in the game that they missed.

Still, I will have to say watching Great Cleave in action is one of the most viscerally exciting things about the game. Especially since the baddies aren't so great about trying to avoid AOOs so as soon as you start getting surrounded, you know one of them is going to trigger one and start a blood bath.
