It's a quandary actually. I'm currently irritated at WotC for the cancellation of Chainmail a few weeks ago, I really have no interest in the Silver Marches ... er Munches, and I've always harbored a certain resentment against the Realms for usurping Greyhawk's rightful place.

However, I hate to see the bean counters proved right, so I'll probably pick it up.

Part of the problem I see now is the bean counters could point at the silver munches sale as being artifically high now, due to the little short story. Hopefully at least they can realize that's because people actually care for the fluff.

How in the world are the bean counters going to know about that story? The bean counters aren't gamers. They don't visit these websites.

At least I hope they aren't gamers, because that would just be too sad if they were.

Nope not going to...

I wouldn't buy it for the story, but because I wanted it in the first place. How long can we sustain this buying because the Bean-Counters are threatening the gnomes or elves?

The happy ending is when the bean-counters sell off the part of the company producing the Rums to someone else. Besides, there are lots of other products out there without bean-counter support that I would rather support with my $.

Hrmmm

COnsidering the only WOTC books I buy are FOrgotten Realms and cores like the PH, DMG and MM I alredy have it. Pre ordered it at my FLGS about two months ago. I think the prices should go down bit, maybe B&W would help.

I got the Silver Munches and I give it a thumbs up.

I really hope the swollen-headed bean-counters gain some semblance of intelligence and keep the FR just the way they are. I want to see Raisins of Fae Rum and the next geographic book.....and the next....and the next....

I am definitely going to get "Silver Marches". I really enjoy the Forgotten Realms line, and have been waiting for this first "regional book" since it was announced.

I'm hoping that we'll see more regional books in the near future, but I guess we'll just have to see. A little something on the Red Wizards/Witches of Rashemen would rock. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't more info on the Witches in the "Magic of Faerun".
