• NOW LIVE! Into the Woods--new character species, eerie monsters, and haunting villains to populate the woodlands of your D&D games.

Who else considers he has now enough d20 stuff and won't buy more?

I'm slowing down my new d20 purchases, except for WotC items, adventures, and DM accessories (like the Battlebox). I plan to make 3 exceptions to this: the Wilderlands Box Set, Wildwood, and the World's Largest City.

For everything else I'll wait for 50% (or more) off specials or hunt e-bay for deals, rather than buy new.

I pick and choose titles based on what I want to run, not the desire to have the latest and greatest.

For D&D, aside from the 3.5 core books, I'll definitely buy all of the environmental books (Frostburn, Sandstorm, Stormwrack, &c.) because I find them interesting and useful. I bought Unearthed Arcana (and like it) but ignored the planar book, the psionics book, the dragon book, and all of the settings books (save Silver Marches - I don't play in the Realms, but this is close to the kinds of campaign-settings I like to create). I picked up the undead book, mostly for use with my Modern game, after several months of thumbing through it and putting it back on the shelf.

I will buy the Wilderlands of High Fantasy campaign setting when it comes out, as well as City-State of the Invincible Overlord - the next D&D campaign I run will be set here, my first not using a homebrew world since...well, since the first time I ran a Wilderlands campaign in the late 70s!

For other d20, I will buy d20 Past and Slavelords of Cydonia. I may purchase some additional Mutants and Masterminds books, like the next Annual when it's released in a few years ( ;) ). I'll be watching to see what other Sidewinder: Recoiled stuff appears as well.

I buy one or two .pdfs a month - all Modern stuff.

So, I'm not done yet, but it looks like a book every other month or so - hardly a torrid pace.

They could have sold me Harlequin romance novels if they'd taken a red crayon and scribbled "d20" on the back.
LOL! :D

There is something like that to be released? Hum... Just curious, since I don't plan to ever buy anything. :heh: At least, it resemble a big reusable module.

I'm done except for adventure modules. I will still buy a lot of rpg stuff but mostly Ars Magica and Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay.

I guess you are eager to get the new edition of WFRP? Don't you? :)
Oh yes! I love Grim Tales but WFRP has a special spot in my heart. My group played it pretty much exclusively for ten years.

Heh! Already planning out my GM's Day purchases...

And Iron Kingdoms Campign Setting.

And D20 Past.

And the new Expeditious Retreat book A Magical Society: Beast Builder.

And...

My rate of purchase is largely unchanged - I get what interests me, and ignore what does not. I tend to buy 3rd party over WotC, PDF over print, and if it is about steam power or sailing ships I am all over it!

Need ....I need no more

Want ....I have a few still to get

WAIT ....If I must.

The last few have been okay. I believe the important topics have all been done now. The upcoming Aberrations will call for a look and the Desert book (Love Darksun) also requires inspecting.

At this point, Minis may become the main source of lost money.....

It is all I can do to keep from purchasing "Thrilling Tales". I'd love to run a 1930s pulp game.

There is a surfit of riches in d20 material. Too much is never enough.
