Who else considers he has now enough d20 stuff and won't buy more?

Not me, but I don't own all that much, to tell the truth, especially since my group won't play d20. I buy it stuff for its intrinsic coolness. So lately that's meant a lot of older stuff, like Dark Sun and Al-Qadim. I did just pick up the Iron Kingdoms CG, and it looks great. But I've also bought some Green Ronin and Conan things for the sheer nift factor.

I have fully stopped buying anything D20. In fact, I have stopped buying anything RPG.

I don't think I am losing interest in the hobby though, as I still want to buy some products that come out and catch my eye (like Sandstorm).

I am just not purchasing anymore, even if I really do like the product. After I "discovered" I could buy six quality DVDs for the price of each average hardback, I switched my purchases (over a year ago), and have never looked back.

Yes, it's a sort of rant...

With my last purchase (which disappointed me), I decided that I probably have more than enough d20/D&D material (appr. 50 books) and now must stop. Of course I have yet to get the last one (d20 Past), maybe one or two modules so I don't need write my own, but I am basically done. In any case I don't use much of most of these books. Better try to plunder them again anytime I can, rather than succumb to the sirens of Internet marketing and still buy more stuff. I see that I am less and less enlivened by what I purchase. Now is time to stop and just use what I have (in any case it's more than I can use).

The problem is, that if more and more react like me, the market will probably not live for long. So, what about you?

That's crazy talk! No, you're absolutely alone with this ;)

My WotC purchases are basically non-existent now and have been for a while. I don't need more crunch at all. I might consider Lords of Madness but only because Draconomicon was good and I like freaky creatures. We'll see.

I'm finding that the only d20 stuff I'm buying now are variant campaign settings or rulesets (Conan, Midnight, Grim Tales, Green Ronin's Skull & Bones, etc) and modules.

Me- Have stopped purchasing books for the most part, especially crunch related stuff- i have not bought any WOTC stuff since...2 years? WOTC stuff is lacking in creativity and uniqueness in comparison to other 3rd party producers (just a look at recent releases which are rehashes of what others have already done). This is my PERSONAL OPINION of course.

I have also noticed that i keep up with what is out in the market in more detail than before. I read reviews of products and research products before i buy them. My recent purchases have been 4 necromancer modules/settings and the IKWG (fantastic stuff).

I have also been purchasing other gaming related items such as Tacttiles to enhance the game

I increasingly purchase PDF's as the quality of PDF's have steadily improved.

My players and friends also have only bought the IKCG recently, primarily because i run an IK campaign.

One friend has not bought anything since 3.5 edition came out - he swears that he will never buy a WOTC product because of the rerelease of 3.5e.

Another friend - who bought everything, and i do mean everything that was ever released, has slowed down his purchases of books and now spends most of his money on WOTC mini's.

Another player does still primarily purchase WOTC stuff and has all the complete books.

I think the market has matured and there are a lot more high quality options these days, but the market is also saturated- for example, there are so many great campaign settings recently released; all have high pricepoints and as such the average consumer is going to have to choose between products and it can be a tough choice (Talislantia, IK, Black Company etc.) and this will also lead to further consolidation and closing down of publishers.

My purchasing has definitely become far more focused. Like most of my purchases are focused on Necromancer, TLG, Fiery Dragon, and Green Ronin products. Good discount/sale prices make me deviate from that. As far as WOTC goes the only book I am currently interested in is Lords of Madness, plus I will also be looking at the Waterdeep book when it comes out. But I do no buy miniatures or anything else from WOTC. The only money Hasbro is getting from me right now is for Heroscape.

So the vast majority of my money goes to 3rd party d20 and other non-d20 games such as GURPS and L5R.
