Who is Your Favorite B5 Character?

Who is your favorite Babylon 5 Character

I voted for Ivanova because she's better looking than G'Kar or Londo. But really, it's pretty much impossible to say that any one of a dozen is The Best. They were all, many of them, including one shot characters, just so well done.

I can't pick the two maintenice guys from that season 5 episode? ;)

Too many characters to choose from, I can't pick just one.

This is close. Very close. But In the end I have to go with G'Kar, even though Londo is a very very close second.

G'Kar starts out as a fairly hostile character. He seems to be hell-bent on revenge against the Centauri at all costs. But when the Shadows start whacking the Narns, and then the whole Narn-Centauri war breaks out, he becomes a more sympathetic character. He receives that vision from Kosh, and afterwards realizes that revenge against the Centauri in the end will only destroy the Narns. Then he ends up becoming a relucant religious leader, which leads to some amusing moments as well. But the bottom line is that he shows a great deal of depth and growth.

Londo's also a great character, but in the end I chose G'Kar instead, because Londo lacked his wisdom, and ended up damning himself from his deals with the Shadows, even though he didn't give up tryign to redeem himself.

Urgh. So hard to pick just one; if the poll allowed multiple choices, I might have to pick as many as half a dozen.

But just one? Has to be G'Kar. I cannot think of a character in any TV series who has gone through such a dramatic run of character development, and yet had the development feel so natural. The depth and dimensionality of the character was incredible for a TV series. And frankly, G'Kar is just damned cool to boot.

It's a shame Andreas Katsulas passed away. :( He was an amazing talent, and I'd have loved to see more of G'Kar in the upcoming straight-to-DVD stories.
Yeah, what the rodent said.

Londo might've been a contendant, but that goofy hairdo totally spoiled him and his race as anything other than space-bozos.

That's why I picked Londo. Of all the great characters on this show, his was the one that was most interesting.

For me it really goes
Londo
Sherridan
G'Kar

Impossible to choose just one.

I really like Sinclair (I much preferred him to Sheriden). I found him a very convincing diplomat and commander, particularly in shows like 'any means necessary' and 'deathwalker'. I also liked the mystery they had behind him in season 1 - why did his capture and interrogation lead to the Minbari surrender? He had a much more interesting backstory than Sheriden.

I also really liked Lyta Alexander, probably the most out of all the secondary characters.

Ivanova was great most of the times, but occasionally not so good (e.g. I didn't particularly like the one with the alien sex scene - boomchuckalucka).

G'Kar and Londo go without saying as incredible performances.

Kosh also deserved a vote too.

Heck, I think I'd pretty much end up voting for the same meta-character as Teflon Billy :)

Cheers

Like everyone else, it was a tough call. I ended up voting for Marcus Cole in the end. He may not have had the great character evolution arcs that G'kar and Londo had, but I liked him never-the-less. He had some really great lines, and a noble end to his story. Garibaldi came in a close second (again a lot of wise-ass remarks), with a tie between G'kar and Londo for third.

I thought that scene was horrid. A really bad, cringeworthy scene that should have never been written that way. Thankfully there were very few of those during B5's run.
