A couple of new players to the group are raising questions about certain things we've been taking for granted -- namely, whether they should be expected to pay for the T-shirts that we wear to designate party roles. They're OK with buying their own "Party Lockpick" and "Party Healer" shirts ... just not right away. However, they are totally against pitching in for a token payment on the "Party Leader" shirt, which sometimes passes from player to player.
((FYI: Our style is a basic, one-color Beefy T (Hanes), with blue or black block letters 8-10 cm. tall on the front. It's not required, but most shirts match the player's primary dice color.))
How do you handle this at your game table -- Is the leadership role considered an honor, and thus the T-shirt expense is shared by all? Or is it a personal investment that shows the player takes his responsibility seriously?
