From a recent game: "So you're the party leader when there are naked women, but when there's a guy shooting laser deathray eye-beams, suddenly I'm the leader!?"

But at some point, the underwear will come off, and THEN where are you? Naked and less attractive than before.
This is a majour problem in many people's games. I got around this problem in my game by saying that any magical lingerie of charisma would continue to grant the bonus charisma even when removed unless the lingerie is donned by somebody else, the lingerie loses line of effect to the owner, or the owner covers herself with some other piece of clothing in that item slot. This basically means that the item slot for the lingerie is still being used, so it should not allow game balance exploitation, while at the same time helping to alleviate the oddity of the naked character who looks uglier than before.

Having seen myself naked and taking numerous life drawing classes, I can assure you that some people DO look better with clothes on.

Preliminary feedback on the issue is leaning toward replacing the T-shirts with tasteful armbands. Surprisingly, it was one of our older players who whined about how embarassing it is to be seen in public wearing his party role designation shirt -- last week he had to stop for car fuel at a convenience store on the way to a game and was soundly dissed by the store clerks. Wuss.

Armbands lead to goosestepping.

Seriously, I just don't get the whole "identifying the party members" thing. I really, really, REALLY don't. I've been playing this game a long time, and we just know who does what. As for a party leader, it depends on what the immediate need is. If there are scads of traps, the rogue takes point. If we need to negotiate something, the bard or sorcerer steps up.

And I realize I've probably been dragged too far into what is probably not a serious post.....

And you realized it only one post too late. That's not too bad you know. ;)
