Who pays for your group's "Party Leader" t-shirt?

This is the funniest thread in quite a while. It's the deadpan posting that's making me giggle so much.

Thanks, guys. Just what I needed at 4:30 on a Friday.

Our party leader T-shirt is bright yellow, and goes to whoever scores highest on the quarterly closed-book rules test.

I've been wearing that shirt every session since 3.0 came out.

Since most of our in-party 'planning' consists of ever-rising levels of insults (mostly IC) leading to physical violence (always IC since we are, basically, wusses) this t-shirt idea would just add an unneccesary arguement event before the game.

Anyone who thinks they lead our party needs a straitjacket, not a t-shirt!

A group I used to be in did the party role t-shirts once. It is a bad memory as I have horrible allergic reactions to cotton. We eventually changed to silk, but as most of the players in the group sweat a lot (myself included) we couldn't bare looking at all the sweet stains that show up so well when wearing silk. We then tried leather vests(this was my personal favorite) of different colors, but a lot of the other players at the table complained about the costs. We tried a session nude once, but there were to many giggles when one player would constantly say "I swing my greatsword." So after all this, we just went back to playing with our normal gaming clothes on (see attached picture).

Haha! I've played in a group like that! It was great! Eventually one guy exceeded his tolerance of bickering and IC insults and demanded that SOMEBODY (like himself) be elected Party Leader. Did it work? Heck NO! Everybody but him started bickering about how we don't bicker badly enough to justify having a Party Leader, and the idea was shelved!

We do this - wear party role designation t-shirts. Oddly enough, our Party Leader t-shirt is red in color.

We play a lot of sci fi too, and it just seems to fit.

What he said. Great set-up Driddle, and some great posts by Crothian and the rest :D

Cheers,

Now..you see, I find this an annoying habit, simply because if you have a good idea, but you arent wearing the leader shirt, you get ignored.

Can you imagine the looks Ive gotten when I tried to TAKE the leader shirt?

And Karen, you didnt have to slap so hard!

One of these days I'll sneak off and find my own minions...then they'll be sorry.

Slap me will you?
