Who was your favourite 2000AD character?

2000AD being the great british comic anthology that brought us such greats as Judge Dread, Rogue Trooper, Strontium Dog and my personal favourite Nemesis the Warlock.

For the less well known characters (like Johnny Alpha) perhaps include the prog they appeared in too.

Nemisis the warlock really fired my imagination and alongside Solomon Kane inspired my alternate 16th Century homebrew in which an immortal Torquemada became Pope

Halo Jones easily. She is an entirely normal person who goes through hell and comes out better, and still manages to remain a normal person. I love the art style in her stories too. You can get the complete collection pretty cheap these days if you go for the paperback version. The hardcovers seem to be hella expensive.

I might have said Judge Anderson, but she was never really consistently drawn or written. It's like there's fifteen different versions running around.

Rogue Trooper and Nemesis. The former mainly because of his gear - it had those chips with the digital versions of his dead buddies, which I thought were so cool when I was a kid. And Nemesis because it was just such an alien idea. Totally brilliant.

I'd like to say Nobody from the Ballard of Halo Jones, or George the multi brained robot from ABC Warriors. I liked those small characters, but as a head liner Slaine. Which is odd as I generally prefer sci-fi to fantasy.

Doh... How could I forget Chopper.

Chopper! Chopper! Chopper! Chopper! Chopper!

Halo Jones was easily my favourite - I would love to see where they would go if they had completed the Ballad.

I really liked the original Sam Spade adventure too.
