D&D 5E Who Would Dominate the Multiverse?

Inanity

What race/kind of creature do you think would win out at the end of the day? Lets say all the Gods leave/die blood war comes to a halt and the planes go to end-war. Which creatures do you think are stated out with moves/powers that would give them the edge to dominate the multiverse and why (I am concerned with powers or lore as written in official 5e sources not fan fiction lore)?

I have my money on Demons... There are an infinitely many layers to the abyss and presumably an infinitely many Demons.... When infinites are involved all it takes is one demon from each layer to inevitably swarm the multiverse... Also, there may be other infinite planes with infinite infantry but demons have not only the numbers but the ambition and diversity in power.

None of them. Every outer plane would be dominated by the planar beings that were native to that plane, so there would never be a point where one type of creature would take all. I mean, if the demons have been unable to dominate the devils in the devil's home plane of Avernus during the Blood War, how would they go on to dominate the entirety of the multiverse?

And besides... the whole theory of the multiverse is such that for every version of the universe where one race HAS dominated, there are an infinite number of other ones where they've been completely wiped out. That's the whole point of the multiverse in the first place-- no one person's lore takes precedence over anyone else's. So there could be any number of single universes where demons control everything... but there are just as many universes where the tortles do.

In terms of the claim that there are infinitely many different possible universes; where in at least one, every race has conquered... lets talk about JUST ONE OF the 5e universes (lets say Greyhawk)...

In terms of the point that no one kid of creature could take over another plane (the native denizens would reign)... well planes HAVE BEEN taken over and surely CAN BE... also the Gods are in part responsible for protecting their realms.. Lets assume the gods left.

Also, lets assume that the peoples of the realms banded together (maybe that is too gratuitous an assumption but)...

In terms of why demons havent taken over: they are not unified... some simply DONT CARE (in official lore) about that 'petty' war happening on Acheron (maybe an infinity away away :)).. We an extraploate and say that there is not an infinitly many demonsfighting devils RIGHT NOW, (heck there could be an infinitely many Balors and mariliths; THAT isnt happening is it?)... idk... thanks for the response though...

The problem with demons is organization - they might overwhelm through sheer numbers, but they wouldn't have the infrastructure to maintain their hegemony. So I could see Asmodeus leveraging the demonic horde to do mass killing, and then taking over by assassinationg Orcus/Demogorgon. Or some such.

Pandorym? It would take an infinite amount of time since there are infinite planes, but he could sure chew through them at a decent rate. I'm not sure who could even oppose him, since he can just create Evil Universe versions of other beings.

Even if they're not part of 5e lore now, Cthulhu and the Great Old Ones (and all their little servants and thralls) would eventually force themselves into the lore and take over anyway.

But it'd be one hell of a war.
