Who would you rather have making D&D?

Gary Gygax
My only problem with E.G.G. taking over is that he has stated many times that he prefers 1st edition D&D. If he took over 3rd Edition, I am not sure what directions things might move in...

I love the guy, but I would still prefer Peter Adkison taking over.

I'd prefer Peter Adkison buy it out and hire Gary gygax, Monte Cook, Clark Peterson, Sean Reynolds, Bruce Cordell, and Chris Pramas to run it for him.

Personally I would rather see a few companies get together and purchase it. Not sure what companies I would want to see, but I think it would just be better if it was a group effort rather than just one company getting their hands on it.

I think that Great Cthulhu should buy it through his network of insane cultist worshippers so that he can use it subtle but extremely Eeeeeeeevil! premise of being satanic spellcasters, priests of false gods, murderous warrious, and evil thieves to corrupt America's fine Christian youth.

Oh. Wait, that's already happened. :D

I want to see Bill Gates puchase it. If anyone can figure out how to turn a profit on this thing, it would be him. Of course, the newest edition of the d20 STL and the OGL will read slightly differently...

You would have to wait for SP 1 before you could play it though...or at least play it the way it was meant to be played. :D

Sounds like a winner to me.

what's with all the folks wanting gygax to come back?

no offense to the original Dude himself, but united airlines isn't doing so well, and noone suggests that orville and wilbur wright step in to save the day.

(leaves room bowing in col pladoh's direction, very grovelly)
