I'll go a different way - Art Adams. He's a comic book artist (or at least that's where I found his work first). Did X-Men for a while (during Asgard Wars) and the Longshot series. I've just always liked he detail.

Comic book artist with detail...? GEORGE PEREZ!!!!!

Ack!

This is odd. Is anyone else experiencing frustration in reading other peoples' choices? I don't mean diaglo's, which I'm pretty sure he's joking about... I mean... others. Some of these choices have me talking to my monitor. "What?! Why on earth would you choose him as your fantasy artist?"

I'm being very strongly reminded that everyone sees fantasy through their own eyes, what I think of as iconic, classic fantasy art may not apply for many, or even most people. It's kinda distressing but it's an exercise in growth. Sigh.

Ken Kelly and Simon Bisley come to mind immediately, but there are so many fantastic artists out there.

For anyone unfamiliar with some of the names mentioned in this thread, or fantasy artists in general, I've got a decent collection of links posted here.

Agreed. Stawicki is great, also. You couldn't go wrong with him as your artist for fantasy work.

Of all the things to get upset at...

As for my choice- my players are very casual, and our games tend to be short on rp and large on odd behavior/actions. My choice fits perfectly, thank you.
