Who's from the UK?

Forbidden Planet on Burleigh Street has some rpg material (at rather inflated prices, it has to be said). Lingard Games on Rose Crescent has a very small selection as well. Gamers in St. Neots still gets my vote for best flgs in the region, though :).

Well, I'll be damned, but Games & Puzzles has indeed shut up shop. Apparantly, according to sources, it was a few months back. Now the only stores that provide D&D material are the Forbidden Planet, Lingard Games (The Puzzle Shop), and Borders (for a few odd tidbits.). Hmm, I might have to check out St Neots sometime. What street is Gamers in?

I think you'll find it was about a year to 18 months ago that it closed. Good to know I wasn't going mad in my old age. :p

6 St. Mary's Street, Eynesbury.
Tel: 01480 217443
Tuesday - Saturday. Closed Sunday-Monday.

The owner's name is Colin (same as mine. The Wednesday evenings has two colins and two darrens, sometimes gets confusing. heh). Tell him Colin directed you. :) He'll know its me.

Cool! Thanks. I'll check it out sometime when I have a spare moment.

Another Northerner

32 years of age, gaming once a week in crumbling, post-industrial Lancashire, between Bury and Burnley. I am currently DMing for a swashbuckling group of low-lives in a version of Liberty grafted onto the Pirate Isles in the Realms. The party have chosen to join both the thieves guild and the watch ("double kickbacks!"), and are beginning to find out what the phrase 'between a rock and a hard place' really means. New players are always welcome. When not playing or DMing I spend my time tending to my elderly grandfather and playing World of Warcraft instead of sleeping

I'm about to visit London. What's the best place to go for DnD gaming action? BTW I'll be living in Kensington. Is that a good plac?

Check the Leisure Games & Orc's Nest bulletin boards for games seeking players. Kensington is rich and has a lot of overseas here-temporarily people there so it's probably a good place to find gamers seeking gamers.

Oh no! I probably won't to be able to afford living there for long then :(. I'll have to move to somewhere a bit cheaper. Paddington maybe?

Another Exeter gamer here. Still at school (as a student) and only ordered my PHB about 8 months ago, with it actually arriving about 6 months ago along with the Warcraft RPG book. :D
I've actually been into D&D for like 5 years, but neglected to start it up until (obviously) a few months ago. Probably for the best though, as I'd been a bit of a forum freeform-marty sue before then.

As far as my gaming history goes: Pokemon CCG (I was young:o ...), WH40k and now D&D. Considering starting up Werewolf: The Apocalypse or possibly d20 modern. Then again AFMBE looks very fun....

Hi all
As others here...from UK. Currently on 6 month job in Haywards Heath near Brighton, but still go back to Birmingham at weekends. I am 34 and consultant rheumatologist. Played DnD as a teenager and had recent renaissance with 3rd Ed DnD, and bought miles too many DnD books that i will never use! :( As i have moved away from Brum , currently not playing as no one to do it with! Since my return mainly been 3/3.5 DnD but have dabbled in Warhammer and Deadlands. My non gaming activities include badminton, skiing, comics and putting all my CDs on my ipod (that is a fulltime job i assure you).

If anyone in Brighton area has a group i would be interested......
As for accents, i am pretty "bad" for mine...i am usually DM for DnD...i try Scottish, Irish and Welsh...i think the celtic accent sums up humanoid NPCs! Never do USA accents for them....
