30 years old and living in Leighton Buzzard - near Milton Keynes. Just moved up here from London in December, and still commute back every day to do the whole job thing. Getting married later this year which should prove interesting.

I work in scientific publishing and have difficulty explaining exactly what I do because most people aren't even aware that the industry I work in even exists.

I've been gaming off and on since I was about 8 - though a lack of friends that gamed (I went to a small school in a foreign country) meant that it wasn't until I was 14 or so that I got involved in a real campaign. Now I DM for a small group but because players are scattered across the country and all have busy lives, we meet up only 4 or 5 times a year

Other hobbies include photography, wakeboarding, installing kitchens* and kickboxing. I can't join the "I smoke too much" club, but am officially starting up the "could easily become an alcoholic if I could just be bothered to make the effort" club.


* ok not a hobby but the amount of time I seem to spend doing it at the moment, it certainly feels like one

I'm 26 and a web developer for a local ISP. Play RPGs, CCGs and Boardgames. Looking forward to the 2nd ed of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. Started with Games Workshop, stuff, got into rolemaster, then took up D&D as it didn't get as bogged down.

Read alot of scifi and fantasy (Gemmell, Hobb & Martin are faves), own my own house and have 2 lodgers to pay for it. Theres a cool gaming shop [Clifton Road Games] 50 yds from my house, with a large gaming area.

Other main pastime is a dance called modern jive. A stark contrast to gaming, but that's a good thing.

my mum's family is from Kettering. my gram still lives there along with the rest of my aunts, uncles, and cousins.

i lived there for 4 years when i was very young. i make it back every now and then.

Living on the Wirral, that's just across the Mersey from Liverpool, gaming for twenty years, attended GenCon UK most years, even that freezing tent in Minehead.

Currently playing a CoC d20 game on Wednesday night (needs another player) and running an online D&D game using Fantasy Grounds on Friday nights.

EDIT: Oh, and I'm 28, and by day I am an (almost qualified) Architectural Technologist.

This is me: 36, married, two children and thus precious little gaming time. When not changing nappies / gaming I make science props for use in TV programmes and museums. This year sees my 25th as a gamer. I'm part of the Leeds Gaming group and I am just about to start running an Eberron game (players welcome ). I don't post much, but I do lurk a lot.

So, why are nearly all of the folk replying to Morrus from the softie south? Where are all the Northern gamers?

Since this thread is full of you guys, I have a question for UKers.

I was driving last night and an unusual thought came into my head, "What accect to English (or Ukers) RPGers use in their role-playing games." This because USers often use English accents in thier rpg games.

It may a bit a foolish question, but it struck me as odd, so there ya go.

I'm 24, also in st neots in cambridgeshire, work in an interesting job in the music industry.
Listen to 80s rock, modern prog metal (threshold etc), psuedo classical/film scores, metal stuff. I play in a sunday wilderlands game, and run Eberron on wednesdays in the local game shop. spend too much time on the internet, and spend too much money.
