Who's getting the freebies from RPGNow?

I guess I got lucky. I managed to dl everything yesterday.

I've been lucky enough to DL everything all three days so far. I hope it keeps up for me tomorrow and Friday.

On a hunch, I just checked my Account page for some items from before this Thanksgiving sale that were free. They're listed as an order with four more downloads. You might try for today's stuff of clicking on one, getting to the download page so you know the order is processed, and then canceling the download. Go check your Account page and see if it's there with 4-5 downloads. If so, you can just "buy" everything right away and then download at your leisure over a period of days.

That's exactly what I did. I clicked on the "Free Download" option for the first product I wanted, went through a couple of screens and then just cancelled the download when it came up. The product is now listed in my account to download whenever I want. Just for confirmation that this would be the case (i.e. I can still download the products I "bought" at a later date) I asked about it in this thread here.

This was what I asked:

I "bought" some of the products listed today (Monday). Can I still download these for free at a later date (i.e. Just like a normal PDF that I bought) or do I have to download them on the same day that they are available for free.

As long as you "purchase" the products, you can download them even after the promotion is over, yes -- they're just like any other purchase, except that you don't pay for them.

I'm still on dialup, and I really hate the fact that they are forcing the "one-click buy" on all the free items. It means you HAVE to download each item before you can buy the next one, and on dialup, that means it takes 1-2 hours to buy each item. As a result I was only able to buy 1 item (WotBS 1) last night before I had to get some sleep (I went to bed with it still downloading - hope it completed successfully) and this morning I am getting the same error Boregar is getting (at least it's not just me!), and in 15 min I have to go to work. So I missed Monday, only was able to get one item from Tuesday - so far it's not been that great a deal for me...

(edit) and yes, I checked my account and one-click is turned OFF...so it's definitely being forced on a per-item basis.

and OT, is the regular price for Sinister Secret of Whiterock really a hundred dollars? Yowza!
(edit) Ah, they've fixed it, it's now $2.

Stormrunner, if you do what I suggested in my post directly above, you should be able to download them at a later date at your leisure. That way you won't miss out on any of the free goodies on offer.

Me too. I think I may get suckered into a few purchases after this week, too, based on the free stuff I've gotten. Many thanks to the generous publishers and also the folks at DTRPG/RPGNow who're doing this!

Each day, I've been adding some non-free things, also. OK, a couple of those are on special (thanks, EN World and EN Publishing!) but still. Thought I may as well.

I was just interested in DCC#51.5 Sinister Secret of Whiterock and Tome of Horrors Revised, so I managed to get those.

Though I did miss out on sampling the War of the Burning Sky adventure due to the database issues. Oh well.

Another problem, sorry to say:

StrikeForce: 2136 Tech Manual ends up as a 0kb file (called techbook.pdf or something like that.)

Not sure what to do - I've tried twice, but I'll just leave it for now, I think. I hope it clears up, as I'm curious to see what that one is like.

I noticed that too...but now it is missing from the product list, so I think they caught the problem. Hopefully, they will get it fixed and added back on.

Yes, I got the same error. I'm hoping that since it's now listed as a product I own and I have 4 more downloads, I can wait until I want to look at it and then it should hopefully be fixed for download. Just means you don't have to download so much on one day, and as pointed out to those on dial-up, you don't have to download it, just process the order!
