I'm grabbing a bunch, but I'm most excited about Thrilling Tales Omnibus.

My wife wants the Veggie Patch game (available tomorrow) to see if she can turn it into a Veggie Tales game for our little ones.

This is nothing but a massive marketing push to try and get people to buy more stuff! They are evil, with their, "Here have some free stuff...don't you want some more to go with that?" Grab a couple of freebie downloads and next thing you know you've got $50 of stuff in your shopping cart. I won't give...ooh, the first WotBS adventure! NO! MUST RESIST! ...and some Ptolus...

I'm so weak

Heh, you figured out our secret plan...

Nah, just us publishers giving back to the community that has supported us for so long. Not that any of us would want you to not buy some of our other stuff, but I don't think that is the primary goal for most of us.

Download. Enjoy. Tell your friends.

This is definitely getting me to look at stuff I never have before, especialy the Pulp material. Plus its been nice to get PDF versions of stuff I already own, such as Runequest and Bits of Darkness.

Finally got hold of a free version of Rolemaster Express to see how that looks.

The free copy of Thrilling Tales is the push I needed to finally put together the D20 pulp one-shot for my group!

Thanks to everyone who's participating in this gaming feast! :D

I'll take the honest approach and say that it absolutely *is* about getting people to take a look at our other stuff.

....If for no other reason than spending 10 bucks on our other products would allow them to take part in Adamant's month-long anniversary celebration, in which we're giving away an iPod Nano whose proceeds go to the Global Fund to fight AIDS.

So, yeah -- it is about hoping that folks will like what they've downloaded, and check out more of our products.

(EDIT: Not to say that Cameron's approach isn't 'honest' -- yeesh, I just re-read that and realized that it didn't come off very well.....)

Thanks for the heads-up. I picked up a few things. I will say it is an effective way of getting me to look at PDFs a bit. I bought a few a while ago and had not really been back since last spring.
