D&D 4E Whose staying with 4e?

such an old forum how did this get brought up again?

Someone has been doing some epic necrotreming here recently, don't know who or why, but it happens, someone resurrects the thread, others join and post. I've noticed how some topics with interestign titles pop up just to find they are months or years old.

If they take away all DDi support for 4e it will be hard to stick with it. Honestly, the character creator, adventure tools and the compendium make DMing far less work. It almost essential to me at this point.

This is true, but I'm not sure it would drive me to 5e. It might just make me drop D&D, either in favor of simpler (to DM) RPGs, or in favor of playing other games.

I'm undecided between continuing with 4e, going to 5e, or trying something else. So long as adequate tools exist for DMing 4e, I'll probably do that. If/when they go away, I'll try to figure out whether 5e is worth it. Of course, the opinions of my group will likely have a some effect on my thinking.

The Fourth Edition almost compleatly died for me since no one around me would play it. But there has been a revolution happening through Google+ Nowadays roleplayers can easily create and find games for almost any system (even Powers & Perils!), and I myself now have to put new would-be players on a waiting list for my 4E game. This weekend I hope to start playing a character in a long-term 4E campaign. If this keeps up I will never forsake the Fourth Edition.

Powers & Perils is awesome. Character creation is a math purgatory, but it was ahead of its time in a lot of ways!

I've stayed with the Red Boxes/Blue Boxes even while playing 4e. I see no reason not to stay with 4e even while playing 5e. It all pretty depends on who I'm playing with and what everybody there is happy with.

As asked by OP: Eventtually, as we used to do here with older editions. Focus on Next and some one shots of previous editions.
