Why am I not getting 'Lost'?

Lost (to me) is okay. As stated (or implied) the suspending of reality is required to watch or entertain yourself with fiction. Take Alias for instance- Sydney is like uber agent, going to the far side of the world, B&E some high tech facility, get in five fights, and escape back to the civilized world in just under twelve hours with no jet lag. Wow! You must suspend what you know of reality, step into the writer's and hope that you find some level of entertainment from it.

Lost started as lead in to West Wing after the talk here and that Smallville just was cutting it for me anymore.
Now it has enough character developemtn to hold my interest even thou i would love take two or three of my friends and two or three people here and show them how to survive while dealing with all the stuff.
When people saw the dynamite hidey hole did any one else thought of looting the stuff and leaving the dynamite.
