Why is what I posted not up? It's listed in recent changes but not under the actual category.

Because the pages are case-sensitive. 3E Adventures isn't the same as 3e Adventures. If you click on the link at the bottom of your page you'll go to the 3e Adventures category where your page is listed.

I think everyone else has been using the lowercase "e" for things like this, so it's probably better the way you have it now. In any case, I may go through later and change lots of categories to make them more consistent.

No, I got logged out at work, actually, while using Safari.

It seems to happen to me the first time I visit EN World on a computer. It seems like once I log back in (and be sure to check the "remember me" box) it won't happen again on this computer.

And as far as I know it only clears EN World-related cookies.

I know FORTRAN, COBOL and LOGO - HTML and C+++++++ or whatever the hell it is nowadays - not so much. I stopped programming in the 80s.
I wouldn't say that editing a wiki is "programming" by any means. It's more like typing a book report, with hyperlinks instead of citations.

That doesn't sound like very much fun either...

I tried to post something, but I gave up after it refused to submit the thing after trying for at least 30 minutes - I got up, walked away, and when I came back it was still trying to post. I stopped it and tried again, but to no avail.

I would like to add all the magic items from my House Rule thread to the wiki, but that would take way too long. Are there any plans to try and speed it up?

It's really that I can't tell why I would write something in a wiki rather than a forum post or even a blog.

BEcause blog posts and forum posts get lost in the shuffle, or possibly lost to archives, derailed with discussions, etc. Posting it in a wiki is like creating a hyperlinked reference that is automatically indexed in the categories page as well as linked to from other pages/entries.

For example, that nifty new feat you created might be a good candidate for on of the bonus feats gained by that nifty new class I created, or the feat posted from x book in the OGL section might be a prerequisite for that great new prestige class you came up with. It's much easier to link to those things and find them in a wiki than it is in a blog post or a forum post or some messy combination of both.

How about "I'm not sure the wiki is the right tool for what I'd be writing about". Wikis are collaborative; if I make some house rules for my game, I don't want to point at a page anyone can change. I need something that I have editorial control over.
You could always introduce the concept of the house rule within the wiki page and attach a PDF to the page that actually includes the rules themselves.
