I voted at noon the first day -- and saw that it already for me, OVER!!

Last place beckons!!

....and I really put a lot of effort into my nomination.....

I voted, but I need to apologise.

I didn't realise there was a thread giving background information on the candidates, so I voted without reading it. When I did read it, I think I would have voted slightly differently. Sorry!

You are only 1 vote behind last year's total, (Not my fault, I voted for you) and there are still 3 days to go.

It does seem that in order to do well you need to establish yourself a little more broadly

I voted but it does looks like it's turning into a bit of a popularity contest, or at least the ones with the most posts are winning. I would rather have voted on the candidates' resumes without actually knowing them from the boards. I'm not saying those that are winning aren't qualified candidates but I just feel that I don't much about some of the others.

Although reading a short couple of paragraphs can give some helpful background information, I "know" most of the candidates from interacting with them on these forums. I certainly am not biased into thinking that the nominees with low post counts are any less qualified, but I have no way of knowing for certain.

The ones who have posted for a while, become involved in substantive conversations, and written reviews, give me more information to go one when deciding to vote for or against them. Politics is a tough business, and you can't just jump into it.

For those newer folks interested in becoming and ENnies judge, you did the right thing by getting your name out there and on the ballot. Now continue to be involved on the forums, write reviews, and then try again next year.

Good Luck to all the nominees!
