Why can't I post?

Howdy. For the longest time (most of this year), I have had difficulty posting. Many times, I get an error message that says I have "no thread specified". So, I hit the back arrow and try again. That used to work. However, now when I hit the back arrow, my entire post is gone! So, now I have to remember to highlight and copy my post, so that when I have an error (which is almost everytime I post), my post is not wiped out. This has been frustrating. However, thanks for the great site you have provided. This is not a criticism at all. I just want to know if this error can be fixed. Thanks.

PS-"it" happened again. This time it said "no forum specified".

Jon, the first thing to do is to clear out your old cookies. You can wipe out all cookies at once (Tools->internet options->delete cookies) or search your computer for your cookies folder. Once you find it, manually delete all the ones pertaining to this website.

With luck, that will solve the problem.

That does tend to work.

If you don't wnat to delete all of your cookies (understandable if you'veforgotten some passwords etc.) then you can just go to your cookies folder and manually delete the "cyberstreet.com" ones (there should only be one or two of them).

Still isn't working. I've cleared my history and deleted all cookies. It seemed to work at first, but after I closed out of Internet Explorer and opened it back up, it did the same old thing again. Do I have to delete the cookies every time I want to post? That seems a bit cumbersome. Any other ideas? Thanks.

do you have problems logging in? are you logged in when you visit the boards? have you chosen the "browse without cookies" option in your User CP options?

No problems logging in, but I will try your idea. Thanks.

This is just a test to see if my home computer works better than the one at the office...

This is seriously annoying. I cannot post and I can't figure out what is going on. I have tried everything you suggested and it hasn't helped. Any other suggestions? It works fine at home, but not at work.
