Why can't WotC break the mass market barrier?

Well, in theory, anyway. Not every Wal-Mart carries everything that's in their inventory system; my understanding is that individual category managers at individual stores are allowed to customize their inventory to what they believe will sell in their area. It's entirely possible that there's Wal-Marts that don't carry any of those things.

(Also, of those 43 products, 12 are video games, DVDs, or CDs, not actual RPG or miniatures products....but still, 31 actual D&D items is a lot more than I'd figured for Wal-Mart.)
