Why do people create different accounts for different locations?

When I tried logging into the boards from my parents' place, it took me a while to figure out HOW to log into my usual account. It was a litle less than intuitive for me, and I'm pretty computer savvy. For people who aren't, it would definitely be easier to create a new account (which is very easy) than figure out how to login to their existing one.

I'd give you more details about what was so tricky about logging in, but I don't remember. It was months ago.

The only tricky issue that I remember is that you can only log in/out from the main forum listing. (Or when you try to do something for which you need to log in). Other than that it's just scrolling.

Or am I missing something?

Why does the sun rise
Why am I this size
Why the disguise?

Why do the birds fly
Why ask why?
Drink bud dry!

We have always wanted to say that. ;)

I always liked:

Tell me why the sun will shine
Tell me why the Ivry Twines
Tell me why the Sky is Blue
And I wll tell you why I love you

That's the first half of a poem by Asimov.

Well, it's certainly a good idea to have multiple accounts if you share lots of computers with others, such as using computers in school. It is easy to forget deleting those cookies, logging out and such things related to security. As a bonus, you don't have to log out if you use your "other" not-so-important account.
