Who's scruffy looking?

And what is a nerf, anyways? I thought it was those things Anakin fell off of in Episode 2...

We haven't seen nerfs yet. The Star Wars site describes them as
... temperamental and cantankerous. The comparison stops there, however. These domesticated herb-eaters are raised for their delicious meat. That's a good thing because they have one of the most foul odors this side of the Galactic Core. The rangy, supple creatures have long fur covering their muscular bodies and dull, curved horns. They also tend to spit at their handlers, which probably doesn't work wonders for the dispositions of the nerf herders either.

The long-snouted things on Tatooine are eopie.

This has been an official Star Wars Geek Minute :)

I think "nerf" is a term that started in MUDs, signifying the reduction of an ability from useful to useless. In multi-user online games, nerfs occur when the game designers introduce a cool ability that is outrageously powerful or a "must-have," and then later decide that the ability is too good and reduce its usefulness. This usually results in much whining from the player community and resultant messageboard flaming as a reflex response from a frustrated and angry small vocal minority of the customer base. These days, the cycle of introducing and then nerfing powerful abilities is practically an institution in multi-user online games, allowing experienced gamers the insight to - upon playing new games - be able to guess what cool new abilities are going to be nerfed and so avoid them. Ironically, experienced online gamers instead tend to gravitate toward the weaker powers initially, rightly assuming that it's usually more fun to start with a weaker ability that's due for a "buff" than a stronger one that's headed for a "nerf." Thanks to the internet, the term has weaseled its way into the paper RPG crowd as a vehicle for expressing displeasure with change.

I miss my old nerf football, man those things got a lot of use...

I don't know if anyone had this experience with nerf footballs, but if you leave them out in the weather for a few weeks or months they become rock hard. :)

Nerf weapons would be especially deadly against slimes and oozes and such. They would do "sponge" damage or some such. IMO, oozes and such should have DR 5/nerf.

Perhaps those PCs puking on the troll could use some sponge weapons, too.

I see a niche market developing.
