Why do you write your e-mail address differently?

An email harvester just downloads a random webpage, parse it, cut out all email-adresses and links, downloads the links, and repeats it over and over again. They often use google, and rarely downloads data from forums (eventually it will hit a dead-end).

However! I am 100% sure most email harvesters treat (at) and (dot) as email adresses just because it's so common. If you can write a program that finds emails on the form a@b.c it's dead easy to modify it so it'll also find (at) and (dot).

So, you should try to come up with something unique, such as

psionicist@house.se replace house with home

or even

psionicistDUNGEONS@home.se remove the all-caps word.

Its us against the spammers, be smart!

Ok.. Queen_D just made me snort Coke Zero out of my nose. This hurts so bad...and I'm still laughing.

We should start keeping a tally of all the things we've made you snort out of your nose. ;)
