But seriously, he's saying it's posted by Hasbro that D&D is for sale. I don't know where you would look for that sort of thing, but could anyone confirm whether or not this is possible?
I'll tell you what I tell defense attorneys in DUI trials -- Anything is possible, but it makes it very unlikely and not very plausible.

That's the first I heard of it. I imagine it would be pretty big news if they did put it up for sale though. Either your friend has very good information or he is talking crap. I'll let you decide which is most likely to be the case! ;)

Which is odd, he's not the sort that spews random crap. He's pretty throrough on what he says. And he loves D&D with a passion as most of us here do. And I have no reason to take what he says with a grain of salt. I do think, however, that he just may be completely misinformed and not know it. But he is dead serious whenever he brings it up.

I guess I should've done the wise thing and just freakin' asked him where he got that information from. I'll find out from him soon and post here what he says.

Uhm..."he" is a liar? Probably? :p

Hey, give me your bank account information, I've got a magical cure-all that'll put pep in your step and make you popular with the ladies.

You'd better return it to me- it was stolen out of my Ark of the Covenant about 5 weeks ago.

And if you don't believe me, you can talk to Detectives E.A. Presley and Sergeant J. Ramone, who took the report.

Well it wasn't a link to anything. I have a friend who surfs for information on Hasbro and WotC and the D&D franchise and he's been saying each time I've hung out with him (which isn't often, busy schedules and all) that Hasbro grabbed WotC only for its popularity and great sales on MtG and Pokemon and that they've put D&D up for sale for quite a long while.

If he's seen information like that online, he should be able to provide you a link to it. As Carl Sagan said, "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence."

I keep hearing that Elvis is alive and working in a convenience store somewhere.

There is nothing convenient in trying to pry the last box of twinkies from the iron grip of the king of rock and roll.
