Why is the Scarred Lands Setting so popular?

wait until you get to the point in your reading where you discover that the good and evil dietys somtimes work togather.

Yeah already I've had that happen slightly. The clerics of Vangal in Hollowfaust aided my party after they spilt some blood in the name of that Dark God. They didn't fight for them, but offered them shelter and insight via the Doomseer, Vangal's personal prophet of doom. :)

rogues dilema

na, right now he is using some of his "local talent" in the form of 5 brown gorgers and a red witch. the stalker will soon enter the picture as well

True but I figured this way, if the local authorities got suspicious, the Fat man could lay evidence that the rogue might have had dealings with the Hags of the Hornsaw. Or something like that. Keeping them far away from himself. Just my thought there San. If you got that covered, hey more power to you. ;)

the fat man

the fat man runs "the Backs" in melaid from the large building at the southeasten tip of the backs. he "owns" the local guard and his followers within his stronghold number in the hundreds. the rogue hasn't found out what rackets the fat man controls but the main one is the import/export of food - specifically the food for the military. he is the one behind the scenes of all the military contracts in Darakeene so far as the shipment of food is concerned. so he's goot "ALL" his bases covered.

frying pan

but its so much fun to watch

besides once he gets out of melaid the fat man will likly let him turn tail and run. he's just not that importent afterall.
