I loved the Hurloon Minotaur, as well as the Phantasmal Forces...I have several of each!
I even had a PC based on the Hurloon Minotaur- Tu-Maaa Ghostwalker (say it like Arnold Schwarzenegger), Ftr/Mage Minotaur. He used a Large Longbow & a Battleaxe. He was white (like the card) but not an albino. And, since his culture was based on the Plains Tribes of North America, I used legends of the White Buffalo to shape the PC's background...he was either The Chosen One, or a portent of great change, depending on which Shaman you talked to.
Um..back on point.
Actually, there ARE a lot of monsters from Chainmail/D&D Minis Game showing up in the MM...and I DID just get an Ophidian when I busted open a pack of D&D Minis Game figs...
WOTC is obviously starting to get more into having its products cross over with each other, so you might see more M:TG critters show up in the D&D Minis Game.
