D&D 5E Why Would I Play a Ranger?

Why a ranger? Easy, because allways a rogue is boring and we need another stealth class.

Am I the only one confused about people talking about a 1d10 damage Longbow? They're 1d8 last time I checked, are they not?

There were many, MANY, reasons why I disregarded this thread (mostly), but this was one of the bigger ones.

Yeah, that's the only way it works, if the Ranger takes the Crossbow Expert feat which lets them ignore the loading quality of the Heavy Crossbow. Of course, that means either being a Human(variant) or delaying getting your Dex up to 20.
