This thread is just another illustration of why SR sucks as a game mechanic. As in, sucks the fun out of playing a spellcaster. [/rant off]

One of the reasons I like SR is that it can allow fighter-types to shine at higher levels. [/offtopic]

As for the OP - I'm sure if I tried to cobble together a 17th level character with so many sources available I would have made many, many more mistakes than you.
