Wildshaping is (mostly) like polymorphing, which allows:
so my question is, what does "changing back does not heal the subject further" mean? Does this mean the the subjects gets hit points when they change from their normal shape into a new shape, but then no more hit points when they "change back" into their normal shape?
Or does this mean that the extra hit points only happen for one shape change per day, or something?
I ask because our Druid is 10th level now, and gets 4 wildshapes per day. Does she get more hit points each time she wildshapes? That's a lot of healing...
I'm also considering a PrC (BoED) which allows wildshaping (bear only) at will -- that seems to be a ridiculous amount of healing!
it seems reasonable to me to limit the healing to one shapechange per day (like resting overnight) but this is not how I would read the rules. Any comments? Am I missing something?
Upon changing, the subject regains lost hit points as if it had rested for a night (though this healing does not restore temporary ability damage and provide other benefits of resting; and changing back does not heal the subject further).
