Will you bee seing Doom?

I have been playing the game for many many years as has well my best friend. I am going to take him to see it if he was any interest in it. Are you going to go see it?

And how many times will that make it? I've seen Serenity twice already. Also I believe that Doom will be released to theatres on the 21^st.

Probably on video, but not in the theaters. I don't have a drive to see it the way I did Serenity or the way I do King Kong.

I doubt in the theatres. When I saw Serenity the trailer was actually jeered rather strenously. As one friend put it "Why see the movie if you can go home and play the game".

I have to admit I am slightly intrigued by the shots of the trailer indicating that the movie might make a real and concerted effort to convey the 1st person view. If the movie truly was 1st person,(or a signifigantly large portion of it), that would be innovative enough to to possibly warrant a looksie.

Though of course there would be little point to have cast the Rock as the main guy if 1st person was the rule.

At least twice but maybe three

I don't know it the trailer for Doom was just showing game shots but if the movie is done like a first person shooter I don't know what to think.

To me it would be sufficiently gimmicky and annoying to warrant a "no looksie" from me. But I imagine they tossed most of the footage like that into the trailer just to reinforce it's roots from FPS-based source material.

Yeah, I'll go see it. I have a lot of patience for mediocre sci-fi action movies as long as they aren't actively bad. I'm even an AVP apologist.
