No plans to at the moment, but that includes the caveat that I really have no idea what they're all about.

Besides, I can't even say if I'm buying 4e or not yet; making a decision on the "preview books" seems even more premature.

I voted NO, but that may be incorrect.

*IF* I can't read them at the LGS (shrinkwrapped), and if all the good stuff doesn't get posted here, and if I decide to go 4E, and if they are available on Amazon marketplace or Ebay for around $5... *THEN* I will buy them.

Otherwise, NO.

I'll buy at least the one about classes and races. Supposedly, there will be a lot of not only preview material, but explanations of design decisions as well.

No.

No. My first 4e product will be Keep on the Shadowfell. I'll use that to decide if I want the 4e MM and DMG. Buying previews that aren't playable doesn't appeal to me.

They aren't preview books, they are essays about game design. They will address some design requirements (such as: to cover adventures roles with classes) and show what solution was chosen by different edition, including the next.

As such, I think they are potentially very interesting books, but not necessarily at the moment and for the current price for me. The subject seems more adequate for articles than whole books, so I have a hard time picturing myself spending the cash...

As for buying them just to read the small % which is a 4e preview, I think it's a little bit of a waste... everyone is going to know all those tidbits in a matter of hours on the forums... :)
