Actually, I'm fairly concerned about what happens once the DI goes live and people start copy/pasting Dragon articles all over the internets.

Especially since I plan to pay for those very articles.

I don't see why you should be concerned. You chose to do the right thing and put your money where your mouth is and support a product that you like. It says more about YOUR integrity than it does about other peoples lack thereof.

You mean like they do now. If it can be viewed or heard, it's floating around out there...

As for me, I might buy them, but I'm leaning towards "no". I still need to see why they'd be worth it, and it could be that they won't be worth it to me.

I don't understand the need to judge other people's buying decisions. Not everyone has the same perception of value. Some people will consider it money well spent. There's no need to publicly belittle them.

You misunderstand. I am not making a judgment of the people who buy these. I am simply saying that I completely do not understand why anyone would.

I have the same reaction to baseball, Beanie Babies, and Cabbage Patch Kids. Other people are baffled by my love of vampire flicks (even bad ones) and swords.

The ignore function is hugely useful in helping people avoid conflict with people that they don't get along with. It is a wonderful thing.

However, telling people that you are putting them on ignore smacks more of school playground behaviour, so we recommend that nobody does that. Just quietly put people on ignore and live happier, safer* lives

I'm not buying them. However, I only buy D&D books that have rules in them that I need in hard-copy a lot of the time - PHB, DMG and MM. I bought Libris Mortis back in the day, and I guess it's alright, but the amount I use it is tiny compared to the core books. Entirely not worth the money.

No, I won't buy them, but I will sit down in my local bookstore and read through the books. If some of the art or discussions of the development of 4th edition is especially inspiring, I'll buy the books without hesitation. I did just that with the Art of Star Wars, Episode II: Attack of the Clones, just for the art that eventually became Asajj Ventress.
