D&D General Willpower and ... Charisma ??

One day, I hope to actually play DnD.
If paladins didn't have spells I could see it. The issue with spells is that we already have the flavor that its sorcerers that have innate magic. It wouldn't make sense that paladins also have "innate magic" but "not like sorcs".
The bard is closer conceptually to what I meant than a sorcerer, their magic isn’t innate but they are tapping into something magical through force of personality, just with conviction and passion rather than creativity and inspiration.

Personally, I prefer the DCC approach: combine Wisdom and Charisma into one Personality score. The fine distinctions between the two become moot when there the same, and it's a lot easier to distinguish between what should be an Intelligence check vs. a Personality check than between INT vs. WIS.

if you use the system of two-stats combo = skill, your skill of Personality = Wis x Cha ( isn't that the skill for the class of Rulers ? )
