Wizard Tips?

There are at least two core spells that are specifically aimed at wizards and shouldn´t be overlocked:
Rary´s Mnemonic Enhancer and Mordenkainen´s Lubrication.
The first allows you to prepare extra spells (3 levels worth) or regain a spell you have cast short before you casted the spell. Lubrication does only the latter, but at higher levels. It can be quite useful and might be better than leaving a slot open at these levels.
Especially Mnemonic Enhancer seems a good choice, because you can put those 4th level slot to good use for a number of lower level slots you might want. Sometimes you might prefer a straigt 4th level spells and regret the choice, but 3 Magic Missiles aren´t bad - or a Mage Armor after your first (and only) one was dispelled and your Wand of Mage Armor holds no more charges...

Err... whilst Wizards might indeed need lubrication to get them down a dangerous dungeon, the spell is a luCUBRation! :D It means arduous work (especially that done at night).

The tenth level caster can make a 5th level scroll if he wants, and pay the 5th level price. If he does, range, damage, duraction etc will befor a 5th level caster (ie 5d6 for a fireball).

Good point, glass. :)
