D&D General Wizard vs Fighter - the math

Whereas I consider it very impractical to try to defy how actual people use a thing, and to instead consider ways that the rules can be adjusted so they fit the things people are already going to do.

It would seem WotC agrees with me, to some extent. See: playtest Warlock.

Telling people, "You're all doing it wrong!" is not a particularly effective tactic in my experience. God in Heaven, I wish it were.
Some people perceive an issue. Some do not. Only makes sense to me that perhaps the former should try to emulate the latter if they want to reduce the perceived issues, or at least attempt to emulate what they do to see if it resolves their issues.

Easier to just complain I suppose.

Why would people who want to play a game in which the mechanics play a significant role have the least interest in emulating those who don't? I think that's a silly suggestion.

There isn't an issue in the world that doesn't have some number of people saying 'Well I've never seen it'.

Bob: I can't get this to work.
Joe: It works for me, not sure if it will fix your issue but I'd be happy to...
Bob: Nah, don't want to hear about any potential solutions.

That's not what is happening.

If those who enjoy the play of the game are using a method that is not enjoyable to me, then the fact of their enjoyment, in virtue of their method, while a happy thing from the point of view of the universe, is not very relevant to me.

To give a reductive analogy: my usual solution to riding in the rain is to get wet. That is fine for me; I don't mind a bit of dampness. My solution is of no use to those who can't abide getting wet.

So instead of trying to figure out a solution, even if it doesn't work, you'd rather endlessly complain.

I have no idea if what I or anyone else does would solve any issues. The refusal to even attempt to change if it's that big of an issue is what I don't get.

If I was unwilling to change personally I'd just accept there isn't a solution for me. I'd either move on or accept reality. Guess I just take a different approach.
