Wizards and Scribe Scroll

Can a wizard scribe a scroll that is in his spell book but cannot cast yet? Specificly, I need to cast Teleport several times and I am a level short so my thought is to take the one scroll of teleport we do have, copy it into my spellbook and then from there make several scrolls of it. Is that legal?

I'm afraid not:

The creator must have prepared the spell to be scribed (or must know the spell, in the case of a sorcerer or bard) and must provide any material component or focus the spell requires.

EDIT: Interesting note (to me anyway): There is a bug in the computer game Temple of Elemental Evil that lets you do exactly this. You acquire a scroll of Teleport quite early in the game. If you manage to copy it into your spell book you can make scrolls of it.

That's probably where I got the idea from.
