Wizards of the Coast/Kenzer & Company License Agreements Expiring

+1 for Hackmaster!

Ya know, I have my brand new GMG that I won as swag at a tourney (back in 04) in Norman Oklahoma and have never looked inside because I never made the jump to GM. Or maybe it was the fear of the gawds (Dave & Jolly) finding out that a mere player mortal committed blasphemy by looking inside the sacred text...

Love the system...miss that gaming group :(

I'm pretty sure the whole situation is explained by posts 6 and 12 in this thread... :)
Damn you, Hawaiian Time Zone!

Oh, well. Better console myself by going to the beach and impersonate as a bikini inspector.

Umm... you don't take in poor itinerant EN World admins, do you?

...please?

Never mind, Kevin! Cold and shoveling snow makes us STRONG!

This is a bummer. Played Hackmaster for the first time this year.

But if this means that you're going to have to throw all your money into Aces & Eights, then *sigh* I guess I'll just have to learn to live with that. ;)

Just to clarify we've been playtesting a new edition of HM for a while now. A&8 hasn't been getting ALL our time and money. ;)

Which issues?

Off hand (don't have the issue before me) Issues 125 through 129. 127 and 128 for sure for WotC/D&D approved material in them.

Been a bit of a blur with the summer schedule but you can view the TOC's from those issues and more on our webstore.

Hmmm, while Kalamar is not a setting that ever grabbed me I cannot say that it was poorly written - in fact quite the opposite. Much of it is excellent, from the maps to the sections on alphabets and culture. I have never understood why it does not interest me - aside from the adventures I have thought that the quality of every supplement was quite high. I have never been sorry that I bought any of them, even though I do not believe that I will ever run a game set there.

I also can't say that the D&D logo had any influence either way regarding my purchases. I would have bought it with a D20 logo just as fast. I knew folks who used the older (pre-3e) edition, and they liked it as well.

I am sorry that you are losing the license, but glad that it has served its purpose.

Good luck with your works Mr. Blackburn. Maybe someday Shadis will rise from the ashes? (Gods I miss Shadis.)

And cold makes girls' nipples stand out more...

At least you can imagine it under their layers of clothing. :p

That only now really sunk in: You live in Honolulu and still have an enormous post count. How did that happen? Wireless connection that reaches all the way down to the beach? :p
