Wizkid's HeroClix is awesome, but NBC's Heroes sucks

2) Heroclix is more wargamish. There is no requirement to be all heroes or all villains. In fact, even if you create story reasons for your team to be together (not uncommon, but not necessarily the norm) there is not guarantee that your opponent will be playing opposite you for a hero vs. villain game.

Heroclix mechanics is each character (R/E/V) has set points and abilities. Generally one plays a 100, 200 or 500 pt team. General rules allow for anything or any combo except for "named" charcaters can only appear once.

On a rare occation, we used to do themes. It was generally DC vs Marvel however.

At one point I was going to do Secret Wars with the kids but too many of the villians came out in later sets and cost too much on e-bay to get.

Here's something interesting from the Wizkids Brand Manager, Mark Tuttle, while he was at a convention:

"Gene Simmons came into the WizKids booth looking for me as he is aware of HeroClix, and wants to see his band in Clix form. Pretty flattering, really!"

Me too. The first three seasons were fine, even with the dawson's creek crap. Now the show is just awful.

Yeah, they should just change the title of Smallville to "The Lana Drama Hour".
