Wizzard selection

My sister just finished her exams and wants to continue a campaign he played with some friends. Her warlock died so she wants a new char to start again. She asked me about the "perfect and strogest mage"...

At this point i have to say that after may year of playing only wizards i decided one year ago not to play wizzard again. I ve had enough of these huge spell database..

My sis wanted an answer so i told her that a wizard with Fatespiner and Archmage lvls is my the best one in my opinion..

Now i ask of your opinion about who is the best wizard around...

Feel free to propose combos and such.

Are you trying to break the game, or just be a powerful character? Also it depends on the nature of your game, and what type of character she wants to play.

The reality is as long as she doesn't completely screw herself (say, focused specialist evocation that drops conjuration, transmutation, and abjuration, then enter red wizard or incantrix), pretty much any wizard build is playable with appropriate spell selection.

Wizard who chooses spells that target a variety of Fort/Refl/Will saves, and emphasizes battlefield control.

pure combat damage, warmage has to be up there.

little versitility though.

If you want pure combat damage, Evoker and Sorcerer (especially sorcerer) still outdo the Warmage, though Warmage requires a lot less planning for that damage and is beginner-friendly.

Well...

If you're going to make a REAL wizzard, you just need to learn THE spell, and then it casts all the magic for you. Oh, and hatches some eggs.
