Hmmm... it seems intriguing. Perhaps intriguing enough for me to overcome my natural reluctance towards the "patronage"-model of Open Design. I dunno... I like to see what I'm buying before plunking down hard-earned coinage, rather then throwing money on the words "trust me".

I have a question too: How is it "delivered"...is it emailed to us...I have never done a pdf before in my life...cherry-bustin! This is even more exciting now!

The reason I ask is I want to purchase a few of subs as presents for folks...how to do it Wolfgang?

The PDF version is delivered by email and/or a download service like, oh, any other file.

The print on demand version is mailed to you by the good folks at Lulu.

Sure, I think not everyone wants to subscribe, sight unseen, so you'll be able to pick up back issues just like any other magazine. While it that means you don't get the subscriber discount, it's still pretty reasonable. It'll run $4.99 per single issue.

I'm fairly sure credit card availability varies by country. So it may work in the US, but not Australia, or vice versa.
