Countgray, yep, need to sign up to the project by 31st March. If there aren't enough patron's by that date Wolfgang will need to review the situation as effectively it means there won't be enough funds for the project.

If anyone is interested in this pop over to the previously linked customadventure site and have a look around. I've got Shadowcrag; not only is it a excellent concept for an adventure but its a bumper product with loads of extra bits in the appendix. And the production quality is top notch. I'll be visiting lulu.com for my bound copy on this weekend.

Add the essays on various issues and the fact Wolfgang is very open and approachable....its a great package.

Soel,

You donate the patron fee ($25 i think), you participate in the polls and development and at the end of the process you get a pdf file (and this is a professional layout).

For Castle Shadowcrag Wolfgang has made a hardcopy available through lulu.com for patron's only. So, I expect, for the next project the same offer will be made once the pdf is issued.

What is the voting between the 2 options like at the moment. I am interested in The Empire of the Ghouls, but not so interested in the City-State of Zobeck.

IIRC, last update was that Ghouls was slightly behind, but it was way too close to call.

Glyfair,

Well, your pimpage has paid off, well done!
A few more people are on board and they are enworlders who command a great deal of respect.

I think one of the things that I enjoy most about the open design projects has been Wolfgang's willingness to include a wide range of OGC from different sources. This lead to the inclusion of Phil Reed's Possessors in Steam and Brass (which I think is the first adventure to have possessors in it) and a host of templates from Necromancer Games and Silverthorne Games in Castle Shadowcrag.

Plus the design of his own creatures that went through several iterations based upon patron suggestion. There is a lot of involvement by patrons to the final design or individual elements.

I donated to the level of Patron of the Arts and can say without doubt I got my moneys worth. Wolfgang really goes out of his way to include the patrons input. A project that you get to help stir is pretty cool! :)
