Edit: Ooo, apparently it's the year of Wonder Woman. There are at least two earlier live shorts this year.

It looks like they're trying to sell it as a sequel to 300 with all the pseudo-sepia tone and random slow mo.

No. I expect it is the far more mundane and unexciting garden variety sexism that you're displaying. I expect somewhere you got the idea that this sort of thing is funny. It isn't. It's lame.

True, even brings back Lena Headey and the guy who played Xerxes. I think it's kind of a prequel, sequel and concurrent event at the same time in terms of the storyline.
