First: This thread delivers. I find all of this fascinating.

Second: I couldn't resist. Star Wars Saga Edition wordcloud
I am not surprised that Force is the biggest. ;)

1st Law of Game world Wordles:
- If your game world has a unique, supernatural power system, it will be one of your largest words in the Wordle.

1st Law of Game System Wordles:
- If your game system has a catch-all term used for exception based character abilities, it will be one of your largest words in the Wordle.

Mustrum Ridcully - stating the obvious since 1999 ;)

I attempted to do Open Grave. But my browser kept on crashing, when I tried to input the whole book. So here is the wordcloud for Chapter 1 of Open Grave

I think it's kind of telling that the 1st ed DMG has the words "Must", "Dice", "Random" and "Chance" present fairly prominently.
'Telling'? Is that the best you can muster?!

Surely you mean, 'I think it's kind of AWESOME'. . .? ;)

Um. Well, I do.

Not to mention 'Droid' and 'Jedi' being quite prominent in the SWSE Wordle. How cool is that.

Well, I'm also seeing an "Artifi" and a "benefi" at the far right, and a "fl" at the left. I suspect there is a problem in the source text with that.

Here is the answer.

Most likely the source is a scanned, OCR PDF. The pages were scanned and then character-mapped. Because of this, certain words get broken into multiple syllables, often after a specific letter (in this case, the letter i). So many words that have an "i" in it break the next letter with a space, causing the program to read it as two (or more) seperate "words" as opposed to the correct word.

Artifi cer, benefi t, and fi ght, fi ghter, and fi ghting probably account for these oddities. If someone went through the source and proofed for these broken words, the result would be more accurate, but very time consuming.
