Are you sure thats not just rounders?

Baseball is the official name of the often colloquial of rounders. It's like soccer and football. Soccer is the original official name, but football is just the more common used name. Use of base-ball goes back to the 18th century.
Here in the US soccer is used because we have a variant of the game we call football.

When I was in school we played a version of kickball called Danish rounders. Until this discussion I hadn't heard the term rounders. I'm not sure what a pastry has to do with kickball.
