I'm going to use an East Coast RP server too, so I guess I'll go on that one.

I'll post all of my characters in this post via editing. See ya 'round.... ;)

So far :

Thordar - Dwarven Hunter

Avanolassa - Night Elven Druid

That's right, I'm playing the stereotype characters. ;)

The Collector's Edition stuff is awesome, BTW. :D

Well, you also get a 200+ page HUGE art book, soundtrack, 1 free month of play, cloth map, Making of WoW DVD, plus a DVD version of the game in addition to the 4 CD. Don't know if that comes with reg too tho.

The one month of free play comes with regular; the rest of it is stuff that honestly I'd look at once and then stick in a drawer somewhere. And I already had the game installed on my computer from being in the Open Beta, so I didn't care about getting it on a DVD. The in-game pet was the only temptation for me, and then I thought, "Daniel, are you seriously thinking about paying an extra thirty bucks so you can get a wee little pandabear to follow your characters around?" and had to sheepishly admit that it wasn't worth it.

The only thing that sounded interesting in the CE was the cloth map (how is that?), but that's hardly worth the difference.

Have fun! :D

Guess I'll have to wait til late february to play the retail... :\

I've seen the art book. It's not what I expected. It looks like a mid-tier RPG Publisher's color hardcover book. Not a coffee table art book.

I'm picking my copy of the game up tonight. I'm on the east coast, and looking to role play, so maybe I'll end up on the same server. But I'm thinking I'll be playing an Alliance race, so I won't get to play with you.

Perusing the boards while the disks load ever so slowly...and I just KNOW there's a couple gigs worth of patches to download, right?

A friend of mine is all excited about WoW, but I feel I just can't devote the amount of time it takes to join the real fun. I once played in a mmporpg and even led a clan at a time, when I didn't know, how to kill my time, but now ... it's probably mostly my abysmal time-management skills, but there's simply no way I could play and be effective at the same time. :(
